Chery has announced it will bring its iCaur off-road brand to the UK in the coming months, with a market launch scheduled for early 2027 and the V27 set to lead the range.
"arrives with the backing, experience and resources," said iCaur, the brand.
iCaur will become Chery's fifth brand on sale in the UK, joining Omoda, Jaecoo, Chery and Lepas. Chery says the Freelander joint venture with Jaguar Land Rover is expected to follow later, and the Jetour SUV brand could also be added down the line.

The V27 is a Defender-sized 4x4 that is reported to use a 450bhp range‑extender electric powertrain in markets where it is already on sale. Chery has not confirmed whether the UK-spec V27 will carry the same powertrain, but it has said the model will be electrified and "will deliver electrified efficiency alongside off-road capability".
"will deliver electrified efficiency alongside off-road capability," said iCaur, the brand.
Other cars from the Chery group currently sold in the UK offer petrol, plug-in hybrid and pure-electric powertrains.
The V27 has been seen testing in camouflage on UK roads as Chery adapts its cars for local requirements; the company has opened an engineering base at Millbrook test track to support that work.

Chery has not disclosed UK pricing. Order books for the V27 opened in select European markets earlier this month with prices starting from €55,000 (around £46,000) — JLR's cheapest Defender 110 is about £18,000 more expensive than that figure.
iCaur also sells a smaller pure-electric V23 crossover, which has not been confirmed for the UK but could follow, and a mid-sized V25 that uses a range‑extender powertrain similar to the V27.
"as a standalone brand," said iCaur, the brand.
Details of iCaur's UK retail operation remain to be finalised. Chery has begun recruiting dealers and has been showing the V27 to prospective retailers, but the company says the brand will operate independently rather than sharing the retail networks used by Omoda and Jaecoo.
