Alpine A310 Vision revives pop‑down headlights on electric concept
Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, Alpine's A310 Vision blends 1970s A310 cues with a modern electric platform and dramatic proportions — but the company says it's a design study, not a production car.

Alpine unveiled the A310 Vision at the Paris Motor Show on October 12, a showpiece that borrows from both the original 1971 A310 and the later V‑6 model to create a new, highly stylised take on the brand's heritage.
Design: old ideas, new attitude
The concept stretches 179.1 inches long while standing just 46.5 inches tall, giving it the low, stretched profile of a classic sports car. Alpine says the rear takes inspiration from Formula 1 and the front features pop‑down headlights — a deliberate nod to the era that also lets the designers push the shape in novel ways.

Designers even brought an original A310 into the studio to guide the exercise, and rather than replicate a single model Alpine says elements from the four‑cylinder 1971 car and the later V‑6 version were mixed to create the Vision's look.
Platform and performance details are withheld
Beneath the body sits Alpine's new Performance Platform (APP), an architecture the company is developing for its next generation of electric sports cars, including the successor to the A110. Alpine has not released any numbers for horsepower, torque, battery size or performance for the A310 Vision.
The interior remains largely conceptual as well. Alpine did not publish official cabin images, but the car's semi‑transparent canopy gives glimpses of sculpted seats, contrasting colours and physical controls reportedly inspired by high‑end audio equipment — a mix of futuristic styling and tactile switches.

Alpine stresses the A310 Vision is a design study and 'very specifically a concept only.' The company says some details or shapes could influence future production cars, but the Vision as shown is unlikely to reach showrooms intact.
