Fox Factory has revealed the Black Widow SR, a Chevrolet Silverado 1500-based tuner truck aimed at buyers who prefer muscle and handling over off‑road ability. The company positions the model as a direct response to the new 2027 Ram Rumble Bee.
Under the bonnet there are two main options. A base 5.3‑litre EcoTec3 V8 is offered with 355 hp and 383 lb‑ft (519 Nm). For buyers who want more, Fox Factory offers a 3.0‑litre supercharger kit for GM’s 6.2‑litre EcoTec V8 that raises output to 675 hp and 655 lb‑ft (888 Nm). The supercharger is an extra $16 895, according to the company.
Lowered, stiffer and more road‑focused
The Black Widow SR’s headline change is its suspension. New Ridetech coilovers, plus custom control arms and traction bars, lower the Silverado by 3 inches at the front and 5.5 inches at the rear. Fox Factory fits 22‑inch black wheels wrapped in 305/40 high‑performance tyres and offers optional upgraded Brembo brakes for $4 895.
Visually the package includes flared front fenders, revised grilles and hood vents, a tailgate spoiler and a performance exhaust with black tips. The lowered stance and road‑biased hardware trade some of the Silverado’s off‑road and cargo versatility for sharper handling and a more aggressive look.
Fox Factory says trucks fitted with a tow package can tow up to 13 300 lbs (6 032 kg) and have a payload capacity of up to 1 980 lbs (898 kg). Those figures come from the company and apply to examples specified with the tow package.
Inside, the Black Widow SR gets cosmetic upgrades including diamond‑quilted leather seats and spider‑themed accents — even on the puddle lamps. Customers can also opt for a retractable tonneau cover and bespoke paint if they want the complete look.
Pricing starts at $84 685 for the most basic Black Widow SR. Fox Factory says a highly specced example — with custom paint, the Brembo brakes, the supercharged 6.2‑litre V8 and other options — can rise above $126 000.
Fox Factory’s Black Widow SR joins a growing list of high‑power half‑ton pickups aimed at buyers who want the performance and presence of a muscle truck rather than the practicality of a traditional work pickup.
