Lexus says it took the 2027 RX to the Nürburgring Nordschleife to develop chassis changes aimed at boosting stability and ride comfort, using the circuit’s undulations and inconsistent surfaces to fine‑tune the car’s behaviour.
The Japanese brand says the chassis tweaks are intended to deliver more linear and natural dynamics.

Beyond the handling updates, Lexus has made several minor but practical changes to the RX. These include new infrared‑cut front door glass with improved heat‑blocking technology and an updated brake‑hold function that now has a memory feature.
A digital rearview mirror is fitted to the RX350 and RX350h models, and front and rear dashcams are standard across the updated line-up.
So far Lexus has only announced the refreshed RX in Japan and has not indicated when the updates might be offered in other markets.

In Japan the range includes the RX350 L with a 2.4‑litre turbocharged four‑cylinder (275 hp and 317 lb‑ft / 430 Nm), available from ¥7,040,000 for two‑wheel drive and ¥7,450,000 for all‑wheel drive. The RX350 F Sport with all‑wheel drive starts at ¥7,510,000; all three RX350 variants are listed at 275 hp and 317 lb‑ft.
The RX350h uses a 2.4‑litre four‑cylinder with twin electric motors and is listed at 246 hp and 233 lb‑ft (316 Nm), with prices from ¥8,000,000 for front‑wheel drive and ¥8,510,000 for all‑wheel drive. The RX450+ is described as a 2.5‑litre plug‑in hybrid with a combined 304 hp and starts at ¥9,130,000. Japan’s flagship RX500h is stated to have a 2.4‑litre turbo four‑cylinder producing 366 hp and 406 lb‑ft (550 Nm), priced from ¥9,290,000.
Lexus’s choice of the Nordschleife highlights the company’s use of demanding road conditions to validate changes intended for everyday driving rather than track use alone.
