Porsche sold 178 532 cars in the first nine months of 2026, a 16 percent decline versus the same period in 2025, the company’s latest figures show. The sports car 911 was the marque’s strongest seller by model growth, while the electric Taycan suffered a sharp fall.
Some 42 217 911s were registered in the period, an increase of 12 percent year‑on‑year. By contrast the Taycan recorded just 8 699 sales, down 31 percent, leaving the 911 roughly five times as popular as Porsche’s electric sedan.

Macan volumes reached 51 025 for the first nine months, down 21 percent, with 23 029 of those being the electric Macan. Porsche has ended production of the combustion Macan and says the new combustion model will not be available until the back end of 2028 at the earliest.
Earlier in the week Porsche outlined a turnaround plan that includes job cuts, development of a new supercar and a strategy to raise prices and sell fewer cars to improve profitability.
Porsche also says it has no plans to introduce a fully electric 911.
