BMW boosts X3 M50 xDrive to 437 hp and offers optional Black Package
BMW raises X3 M50 xDrive output by 44 hp to 437 hp, cutting 0–100 km/h to 4.4s and adding an optional Black Package. The 2027 X3 range also receives minor interior and trim updates and Euro 7 compliance.

BMW has updated the X3 M50 xDrive for 2027, increasing output from its mild-hybrid turbo 3.0-litre straight-six by 44 hp to 437 hp (326 kW / 443 PS).
The extra power trims the 0–100 km/h time to 4.4 seconds, 0.2 seconds quicker than the outgoing model and about 0.3 seconds slower than the discontinued X3 M Competition. BMW says the revised powertrain meets Euro 7 emissions rules.

An optional Black Package is available exclusively for the X3 M50 xDrive. It keeps the standard M Sport bumpers and quad tailpipes but adds black 22‑inch alloy wheels, high‑gloss black brake calipers and matching logos with silver outlines for a stealthier look.
Inside, the Black Package uses black Alcantara from the BMW Individual catalogue, Veganza upholstery with blue stitching and piping, embossed M logos on the headrests, black floor mats with blue piping, a leather patch on the M steering wheel and crystal‑like CraftedClarity controls.
For buyers who want more obvious aerodynamic treatment, BMW notes the X3 can be fitted with the M Performance parts introduced in 2024.
BMW has also applied minor updates across the 2027 X3 line-up. Changes include a PVC Softskin trim panel in front of the infotainment display, revised stitching on the instrument panel, a redesigned glovebox release and expanded ambient lighting.
Other trim changes see the M Sport and M Performance grades gaining Dark Silver sill trims with black M logos, while the X3 30e xDrive and M50 xDrive receive protective stainless‑steel trim on the boot sill. The entry‑level four‑cylinder in the X3 20 xDrive has also been updated to meet Euro 7.
BMW has not offered a full‑blown X3 M for this generation, so the uprated M50 xDrive remains the range‑topping internal‑combustion performance model — now with an optional, more discreet look if you prefer your SUV to be faster without being flashy.
